Ballyvaughan Fanore

Walking Club

Welcome

Welcome to the Ballyvaughan Fanore walking club whose home is in the heart of the Burren one of Europes most unique landscapes where the views heal your mind and soul.

We are the home of friendship, fitness and fun.

The club was founded and set up in March 2006, and started off with a membership of 13, which has now grown to over 150 members. Members are affiliated to Mountaineering Ireland (MI). Visitors are welcome to walk with us on any of our walks (please read our rules and policies) and a fee of €10 will be payable on the day.

While the club enjoys having most of its walks in the Burren we do travel for weekends away, visiting islands off the coast of Ireland or climbing some of the countries highest peaks and mountains and we also organise a trip overseas annually.

The club provides members and visitors an opportunity to meet, participate and see the beauty of the countryside and country we live in while out on our different walks. We look forward to meeting you on one of our walks.
